Dwayne Crenshaw, JD

Dwayne Crenshaw, JD graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from San Diego State University and earned his law degree from California Western School of Law. He is a native San Diegan and resident of southeastern San Diego. His knowledge of San Diego’s neighborhoods, authentic lived experience and community activism have proved invaluable in his role as a nonprofit and community leader. Professionally, Dwayne has advanced issues of community development, social justice and racial equity with nonprofit organizations such as RISE San Diego, San Diego Pride and the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation. Prior to these executive roles, Dwayne was a public servant as a key aide to state and local elected officials. Since age thirteen, Dwayne has given much of his personal time to community service. Among numerous awards and recognitions, he was named by San Diego Metropolitan Magazine as one of “San Diego’s Smartest Young Professionals – 40 under 40.”
